TXT DNS records for XMPP over BOSH on tigase.org

Hi, I was trying to find out the XBOSH URL for tigase.org, but I couldn't find it on this site and it is still not in your DNS records either:

$ dig +short _xmppconnect.tigase.org txt
tigase.org.
"v=spf1 mx ~all"

Huh, some mess.

$ dig +short _xmppconnect.jabber.ru txt
"_xmpp-client-httppoll=http://httppoll.jabber.ru"

Better, but no XBOSH.

I am using Macbook Pro with Mac OS X Leopard operating system for my development. Tigase works very well in this environment.

You can download Java6 for Mac OS X from the developers site as this is still not the final release:
http://developer.apple.com/

You have to register a free account on the website before you can download anything from there.

I am now preparing a new server for Tigase project and giving that the Bosh component has been significantly improved I am considering it to make it available publicly in March and I will update DNS records for this.

Well, I was wondering if there is any public server with this binding enabled - both for (interop) testing and usage.

I cannot run Tigase on my Mac OS X system since I don't have access to Java 6.

I could install any other server, of course - either with PunJab or ejabberd with its http_bind module, but it's not top priority for me.

Anyway, thanks for your reply.

I hope there will be many XBOSH deployments with correct DNS TXT records in the future to motivate client developers to make user-friendlier clients which can connect automagically without messing with configuration.

Bosh on tigase.org is not

Bosh on tigase.org is not for a public use yet. Thus there is no information anywhere how to connect to the Bosh component on our server.
If you need a Bosh installation for development and testing purpose I would suggest to install Tigase server locally.
If you want to connect to a Bosh component on tigase.org for some other reason I am keen to discuss this with you. Please send me a message describing your need for connecting to our Bosh component and maybe I can give you access details.
