This is probably due to the usage of 64-bit SDK as it works OK under JDK 1.7 32-bits.

Hi,

I'm using windows 7 64 bits, I installed Java SDK 1.7 64bit. I tried to run

java -jar tigase-server-5.0.0-b2135.jar

At the step9, when I hit next. I got this error

"Could not create shortcut instance
java.lang.exception: error loading library
.....
"

Could you help?

The problem's been solved: one needs to start the GUI setup program with elevated privileges on Windows 2008 to get around the problem.

I've got the same problem. I'm using GUI installer on Windows 2008R2 (64 bit). Name of the file i've downloaded is tigase-server-5.1.0-beta3-b2667.jar.

When i get to step 10 the GUI shows empty page and when i click [Next] button at this step it doesn't go any further.

I intalled jdk-7-windows-x64 downloaded from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jdk-7-do... before starting Tigase setup.

An advise will be appreciated.

We really need more information about the problem to be able to diagnose and/or help.
What version do you use? What operating system? Do you use GUI installer or console mode?

I still get this error and i cant get the srv : all steps working good untill 9/21 ! on step 10 i cant see anything in installer .. if i click previos will take me bk to instalation of files if i click next nothing happen!i use windows 7 x64
