Pidgin configured with BOSH cannot receive message

Hi,

I encountered a weird problem when I configured Pidgin (ver 2.10.0 Windows version) to use BOSH(User A) and another client I used SparkIM (User B). The BOSH which I configured pointing directly to Tigase BOSH which is http://mychatserver:5280/xmpp-httpbind.

User A can send the msg which User B can successfully receive. But the message that User B sent to A cannot be received. When I configured Pidgin using the default XMPP connection(port 5222), it has no problem sending and receiving messages.

The Tigase server I am using is 5.0.0-b2135 with the updated 5.0.4 tigase-server.jar downloaded from http://maven.tigase.org/tigase/tigase-server/5.0.4/

Can you please advise ?

Thanks.

Boon Seong

I just noticed the BOSH over HTTPS some this issue. When I use HTTP it does not have the same issue.

Can anyone advise ?

Thanks.

Hi,
I've checked it (granted, with the latest development version from svn) and everything is working perfectly fine in the configuration you described (pidgin with BOSH vs spark, http and https). I'd recommend trying latest version from svn (or version 5.1.0-beta3 available from the download section)

Hi,

May I know the BOSH proxy server u r using ? Is it Apache ? Do you have any sample Apache httpd.conf that you have configured for BOSH with HTTPS ?

Thanks

We are using nginx.

Thanks. I am going to try out nginx then.

Well, we are using nginx for tigase.im and it's configuration was already posted by Artur. However for the minichat on tigase.org we use apache and it's configuration is also available.
