Maven Repository

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 2009-11-18 20:33

I have been playing around with m2eclipse to try and automatically build up my Eclipse projects for Tigase. I used the information under the Devel guide for Maven 2.x support but the maven.tigase.org does not seem to be presenting the maven index for Tigase. Is something up or has the URL changed for the index?

The http://maven.tigase.org/

The http://maven.tigase.org/ is the URL to the root of the Tigase maven storage space. As we have many sub-projects there, particular maven repositories are located in subdirectories. Please try to point your eclipse to http://maven.tigase.org/tigase/tigase-server/ URL for the Tigase server maven repository.

You can also use your web browser to look at the address to see what is there.

I am trying to browse the maven repository to see what is in it. With m2eclipse ( http://m2eclipse.sonatype.org/ ) you have the ability to see maven indexes ( Window -> Show View -> Other : Maven -> Maven Indexes ). When adding the http://maven.tigase.org/ index it is unable to retrieve the maven metadata required to show what is available within the repository.

I noticed in the pom.xml for the tigase-server there is specific information on how to get access to the tigase-util / tigase-xml projects. I was hoping I would not need to provide this specific definition with my project to get access to the tigase-server. Normally when adding a dependency within a project you should be able to use the maven.tigase.org index and it then knows the specific information on how to access the specific projects within the index.

I am sorry for your problems

I am sorry for your problems with posting a comment. I am now receiving a large volume of spam and I am still training spam filters. Hopefully it all will soon be worked fine again.

Regarding the problem with missing maven metadata. How can I replicate your problem? It seems to me that it is working for me but maybe I use the maven repo differently. What do you do when you get the error?

Tried to post a comment but

Tried to post a comment but it got eaten by the spam filter. It still isn't working. There is missing maven metadata on the root folder.

You are correct, I am in a process of tigase.org migration to a different machine. I am still working on it and not yet everything has been moved. I think maven repository will be available again in a few hours (12h)....
